High barrier coatings

High barrier coatings allow products to be preserved for an extended lifecycle, while at the same time pursuing the challenge of reducing environmental impact. This can be done thanks to the inherent advantages of coating technology on flexible substrates, which allows the design of products with:

• higher barrier performance, and therefore ensuring longer product shelf life and quality preservation
• reduced thickness, and therefore less use of materials and resources
• a smaller variety of materials, and therefore easily recoverable and recyclable after use
